Shoot Information        Click here for Directions

Here are some details in regards to how to prepare for your session. Make sure you get enough sleep the night before your shoot.  It is important that you are rested. Make sure that your session has been confirmed and that you have directions to the studio. When you arrive at the studio do not be alarmed that there are other clients there as well. This is a part of Kevyns style of  shooting. The first couple of hours at the studio will be preparation for the shoot.  Hair, Makeup and choosing outfits.  Please take the time to write down the looks and styles you want to accomplish and what outfits you want to wear.  If there are specific looks with hair and makeup that you will need to accomplish, make this known to your hair stylist and makeup artist, when you arrive to the studio.

You may have some wait time before we start shooting.  This is no cause for alarm.  Lighting is extremely important  and some days the sun is perfect right away and other days mother nature takes her time. Once Kevyn starts shooting and adjusts lighting there will be a flow that begins to happen.  If you have any questions or concerns during your shoot, ALWAYS feel comfortable talking with Kevyn or a member of the staff. We are happy to assist you.

Clothing General
We highly recommend bringing such colors as red, black, green, pink, and bright blue.  Rule of thumb seems to be, the brighter the color, the better.  Of course, any color that you have been complimented on before for wearing well would certainly also be a good idea.  Be mindful of what looks you are trying to achieve, and in choosing colors also keep in mind things such as button-downs and other effective necklines.  Women should also bring with them some strappy, high heels.

Men and Facial Hair
It is important for men to let their facial hair grow out some prior to the shoot.  Therefore, bring a razor to the shoot with you.  This way you can accomplish both the more rugged, as well as clean-shaven looks, giving you variations from which to choose.

Women and Hair
Please make sure your hair is extremely clean the morning of, so perhaps shampooing it twice would be a good idea.  Wear it as you normally would, but please do not use any products other than shampoo and conditioner.  Ladi will then style it from there.  In regards to preparing for makeup, please come with your face clean and please groom your eye browes.
Perhaps the most important issue is the issue of time.  Please be on time for your shoot!   Everything is on a schedule, and in order for this day to be the most effective use of your time, as well as others', you must adhere to the appointment time that is given to you.

Weather:
In case of bad weather, arrangements may be made to reschedule, as Kevyn does use natural light to achieve the quality of his photos.  Unless you hear from the studio telling you otherwise, please be here at the time originally planned.  If we need to reschedule we will contact you, so please make sure that you have provided us with a contact number that we will be able to reach you at the day of the shoot.  On some occasions we may even have you come to the studio, in the hopes that the weather will improve.  However, on the chance that it doesn’t, we will call the shoot and arrange with you for another day and time.

If you have any other questions at all, please feel free to call.  As your session date nears we will be contacting you in order to confirm.  Once again, congratulations on signing with us, and if you follow the guidelines above, we know you will have a successful shoot and great pictures to assist you in your career!
